BTCCSquare news:

Kuwait's National Cybersecurity Center has issued an urgent advisory following a surge in WhatsApp hacking attempts. Residents are advised to update smartphone operating systems, enable two-factor authentication (2FA), and maintain updated social media applications. The center emphasized reporting suspicious messages and avoiding sharing verification codes.

The warning coincides with global concerns over digital asset security, though no direct cryptocurrency thefts were cited. Kuwait's cybersecurity framework, established in 2022, focuses on protecting information networks—a critical infrastructure as financial transactions increasingly migrate to digital platforms.

Separately, the Ministry of Interior announced coordinated operations against cybercriminals, reflecting heightened institutional focus on digital security. The developments underscore growing Middle Eastern attention to cyber defenses as regional crypto adoption accelerates.
